"All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."Acts 10:43
While the previous call in Acts 2 focused on the immediate response of a convicted crowd, Acts 10:43 reveals the staggering scope of God’s plan. This verse serves as the climax of Peter’s sermon to Cornelius, a Roman centurion, marking the moment the Gospel officially broke through the barrier between Jew and Gentile.
The message is built on three pillars of hope, A Consistent Message, Peter notes that "all the prophets testify". This wasn't a new or experimental idea; it was the fulfillment of a long-standing promise woven throughout history. A Radical Inclusivity, the word "everyone" is the heartbeat of this verse. It bypasses ethnic, social, and moral boundaries. It echoes the earlier promise that the gift is for "every one of you", emphasizing that no one is disqualified from God’s grace by their heritage or their past. The Power of the Name, Just as the crowd in Jerusalem was told to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness, Peter reaffirms here that forgiveness is found exclusively "through his name".
Forgiveness isn't something we earn through a "philosophical checklist" or "self-improvement". It is a gift received through belief. If Acts 2:38 is the "about-face" toward God , Acts 10:43 is the assurance that when we turn, we find a door that is open to absolutely everyone.

Heavenly Father,
I thank You that Your plan for redemption has always included me. I am grateful that Your grace is not limited by my background or my failures, but is available to everyone who believes. I put my trust in the name of Jesus today, receiving the forgiveness that the prophets foretold. Help me to walk in the freedom of being washed clean.
Amen.
